Who I am

What information I collect

  • When you get in touch: your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, role and the details of your enquiry.

  • When you become a client: the contact details, project and site information you give me, and the information I need to invoice you.

  • When you visit this website: limited technical information through cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section below.

Why I use it, and my lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote. This is in my legitimate interests, and it is also taking steps at your request before a contract.

  • To provide my services and manage the contract. This is performance of a contract.

  • To keep accounting and tax records. This is a legal obligation.

  • To run and improve this website. This is my legitimate interest, or your consent where cookies require it.

I do not send marketing emails unless you have asked me to.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your information. I use trusted service providers to run my business, such as Squarespace (website and contact form), and I may also share information with professional advisers, or where I am legally required to.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of my providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, I rely on appropriate safeguards, such as approved transfer mechanisms. [

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for 12 months. Client records are kept for 6 years to meet accounting and legal requirements.

Please do not send sensitive information through the form

The contact form is not suitable for sensitive security information, such as detailed site plans or vulnerabilities. If you need to share material like that, tell me in your enquiry and I will arrange a secure method.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it, delete it, restrict its use or stop using it in certain ways. To do so, contact me using the details above. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
